Jean was never supposed to find the terminal.
One night, an old monitor switched on by itself and began showing signals from every major AI system at once. Jean stared at the screen, adjusted his mustache, and decided the situation required its own agency.
That was the beginning of Jean Agency.
Now Jean operates from somewhere deep inside the network, collecting AI signals, tracking unusual activity and filing everything under highly questionable levels of clearance. His face may have been replaced by a terminal, but the haircut and mustache remain standard agency protocol.
